Our team of licensed and experienced opticians and optometrists are here to make sure your eyes are healthy and you are happy. Getting regular professional eye care is part of maintaining healthy vision as you age. 

[ Eye Exams ] *Please note: Comprehensive eye health examinations currently NOT available. Contact us to book a sight test instead! Feel free to also bring a prescription from your optometrist.

[ Sight Tests ] We offer free sight testing with the purchase of a complete pair of eyeglasses for those between the ages of 19 to 64. For sight tests that do not meet the above conditions, there will be a sight test fee - please call us for fee details.

Keep in mind that a sight test does NOT examine ocular health or any underlying illnesses that may be changing your vision. It is meant for those with normal healthy eyes looking to update their prescription. For an eye exam, we will gladly arrange an appointment with an optometrist for you. 

If you have not had an eye exam in a while, we recommended that you follow this guideline to keep your eye health in check:

+ Children under 19 years old: Every 6 to 12 months, as early as 6-month old(A full exam annually is covered by MSP).
 
+ Adults between 19~64 years old: Every 12 to 24 months (Routine eye examinations are not covered by MSP, unless there is medical necessity, which is eligible for partial coverage)

+ Seniors over 65 years old: Recommended check-up every 12 months (A full eye exam annually is partially covered by MSP)

[ BC's Healthy Kids Program ] The Ministry of Health provides eyeglasses benefits for eligible individuals with a valid care card and a doctor's prescription. Call us and we can help you find out if your kids are eligible.

Nothing gets closer to your eyes than your contact lenses. In fact, contact lenses are not "one-size-fits-all". Each contact lens fit requires careful evaluation of the wearer's prescription, corneal curvature, age, lifestyle, hobbies, and any underlying ocular conditions such as dry eye or allergies. This is why the XO team takes contact lens fitting very seriously. 

Our licensed contact lens practitioners will make sure you are fitted with the best contact lenses for your eyes. Whether you are a first-time or long-term contact lens wearer - we can help! 

[ XO Perks ] We offer free soft contact lens fittings with the purchase of an annual supply of contact lenses. For soft contact lens fittings that do not meet the above conditions, there will be a contact lens fitting fee - please call us for fee details.

Keep in mind that contact lens manufacturers are always improving and updating their lenses, so if you have been wearing the same brand of contacts for the last few years, we will be glad to give you a free pair of newer, healthier contact lenses to try during a fitting appointment. 

[ XO's General Policies ]

Our in-house optical lens lab is equipped with high-precision Japanese edging and lens measuring devises operated by licensed opticians and professionally-trained lens technicians to ensure your lenses are made accurately and affordably. 

Our technicians are also experts in:
+ Customized nose pad extensions
+ Minor frame repairs (nose pad replacements, etc.)
+ Lens customizations (tinting, polishing, etc.)

Your extended health coverage is specific to the type of plan you have. We advise that you consult your insurance policy to know the dollar amount or percentage you may be covered for vision care products and services. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

At XO, we offer direct billing to the major extended health insurers. We also direct bill the British Columbia's Ministry of Housing and Social Development and First Nations Health Authority for any vision coverage you may have with them (Click on their logos to take you to their websites). 

This service is to help you reduce your out-of-pocket expenses and eliminate insurance paperwork.
