XO OPTIX Vision Care is an optical boutique located in the heart of Coquitlam. Our mission is to redefine the relationship between people and their eyewear, as well as to bring more appreciation to eyewear as a form of art rather than just a piece of material that we reluctantly wear and don’t love!
We’re currently looking to add to our team an in-house licensed optician with a knack for sales and marketing.
We are a small but tight-knit team of opticians and sales assistants.
We believe vision care is truly caring for our patients and ultimately help them live their vision - hence our motto "Live Your Vision”.
We are obsessed with taking absolute stellar care of our patients, as well as transforming the world of eyewear with a touch of creativity.

Work Days & Hours
Based on Store Operations: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday (Please see our store hours)
Full-Time at 40 Hours/Week, Part-Time at Around 20~30 Hours/Week.
The right candidate should have flexible availability including weekends, evenings & training days.
Days off on BC statutory holidays.

Job Description & Competencies
The right candidate is expected to be highly motivated to learn quickly and be willing to pick up new competencies to ensure the best possible customer experience.
Technical Competencies:
Efficiently and effectively demonstrate all essential functions of an Optician (Eyewear dispensing, fitting, adjustments, job ordering, fitting contacts, etc.)
Troubleshoot optical-related issues and handle customer concerns.
Sales:
Contribute to eyewear sales goals with an emphasis on great customer experience and after-sale care.
Educate and assist patients on frame selections to ensure both their fashion and function needs are met.
Educate and assist patients on lens selections to ensure their visual clarity and comfort needs are met.
Manage patient follow-up's and recalls.
Administration:
Quickly learn and process paperwork (digital & hardcopy) efficiently and effectively.
Keep organized records of patient information on paper and on optical software.
Write and respond to vendors and customers through professional email and phone communications.
Housekeeping:
Maintain store and product cleanliness and functionality.
Organize product displays, etc.
Sales Floor Maintenance & Merchandizing:
Maintain clean and presentable frame boards and product displays.
Maintain an accurate count of product inventory.
Keep the work environment and its furniture and equipment clean, organized, and functioning.
